COVERAGE:

Use Ultra BOND COAT-RBE EX-6500 lm/liter per coat. Shelf life is up to 12 months in manufacturers’ sealed containers stored in a cool and dry place. Reseal the container after use and ensure the product is stored as instructed on the label.

DIRECTION OF MIXING:

Surface Preparation:

Clean the surface before Ultra BOND COAT-RBE EX-6500 is applied. For removing any dust, dirt, rust, oil, grease, or any loose particles, use a roller, brush, or an airless spray. In the surface coat preparation, clean the substrate to get a protective coating layer. Any dirt on the surface impairs the adhesion.

Apply a prime coat of Ultra BOND COAT-RBE EX-6500 for any porous surfaces like concrete or fiber-reinforced cement. Prepare this primer coat in a ratio of 1:4 with clean water. Old concrete and steel must be structurally sound before the application. Treat any damages that occurred to these materials before the process using Ultra BOND EX-6500. Clean any steel surfaces by an abrasive blast to strip imperfections, paint, rust, and other contaminants from a surface.

Foundation: Apply Ultra BOND COAT-RBE EX-6500 directly to green concrete immediately after the shutters open. Apply one more coat of the additive at the right angles to cover the entire area. Increase DFT (Dry Film Thickness)property using cleaned sharp sand.

APPLICATION AREAS :

ULTRABOND COAT-RBE EX-6500 is a cold-applied emulsified thixotropic water-based rubberized bitumen emulsion for protection. It’s suitable to protect all types of concrete and any adhesive applications. It acts as a protective impervious membrane for vapor sealer and curing compound for below ground structures like tanking, swimming pools etc. COAT-RBE EX-6500 coating forms a sandwich-membrane for formulated water and damp proofer foundations, floors, walls, and roofs. It’s an effective adhesive for woodblocks, wood mosaics, insulation boards, cork tiles, and expanded polystyrene.

ULTRABOND COAT-RBE EX-6500 combines both waterproofing benefits of bitumen and crack bridging benefits of rubber latex with the elongation. And as a result, it forms a durable and flexible membrane for all waterproofing applications. It is a non-flammable and non-toxic solvent-free single component that resists chloride and sulfate attacks.

INSTALLATION:

Apply two coats of Ultra BOND COAT-RBE EX6500 on a well smooth cleaned concrete subfloor. The quantity of the additive can be 1m²/liter per coat. As the second coat of additive applied remains tacky, blow the area with cleaned sharp sand creating a subsequent screed, acting like a protective layer against the foot traffic. Ensure the length of the membrane remains up to the damp-proof wall and keep the dried film safe. Lay the screeds to a thickness of a minimum of 50mm and allow it to blot thoroughly before laying any floor covering.

EXISTING FLOORS SURFACE TREATMENT:

Dilute Ultra BOND COAT-RBE EX-6500 with clean cold water in the ratio 1:4 and apply it on the surface as a prime coat. The coverage area is 7.5m/liter per coat for the additive. Sufficient time is given for the surface to dry thoroughly. Again apply two more coats of COAT-RBE EX-6500 to the existing *DPC. Ensure the length of the membrane remains up to the damp-proof wall and keep the dried film safe. The coverage area measurement for the additive is 1m/litre per coat.

PRECAUTIONS:

UltraBOND COAT-RBE EX-6500 deteriorates under UV rays. Hence, protect it from such damage by painting with water-based paints. Consult paint manufacturers to know the method of application and suitability of paint to use over bituminous coatings. Avoid using COAT-RBE EX-6500 under any negative water pressure situations.
