QUANTITY & DIRECTION OF MIXING :

Before applying Ultra BOND COAT EX-6000, remove any dust, dirt, rust, oil, grease, or any loose particles from the surfaces using a roller, brush, or airless spray. Any unclean surface affects the adhesion of the coating on the substrate. Dilute the emulsion with 20% of water and apply a primer coat before the first coat. After this process, mix Ultra BOND COAT EX-6000 emulsion in the drum or pail thoroughly and apply it on the substrate surface at the thickness of 125 microns. Apply more layers of coating only after the complete curing of the previous layer.

COVERAGE:

Ultra BOND COAT EX-6000 provides coverage of 4.6 sq. m/kg with a dry film thickness of 125 microns. Always store Ultra BOND COAT EX-6000’s drums and pails in a dry covered area, away from direct sunlight and any sources of heat. Its shelf-life remains up to 12 months under recommended conditions. Excessive exposure to sunlight and any heat would result in the deterioration of the product reducing the shelf-life.

INSTALLATION:

Apply Ultra BOND COAT EX-6000 with a brush or roller on the horizontal surfaces. Before the application, mix the contents in the drum or pail. Apply the emulsion two or more times to get the durable finish of the product. ULTRA BOND COAT EX-6000 is very stable and easy to apply. After applying the prime coat, give at least 3 hrs of a gap for the proper drying of the applied layer. ULTRA BOND COAT EX-6000 forms a black flexible protective membrane that acts as a barrier to vapor transmission resisting chloride and sulfate attack from the soil adhering to wood, concrete, metal, etc. materials.

ULTRABOND COAT EX-6000 is a water-based bitumen emulsion coating with a firm, flexible, and jointless waterproof protective membrane. This protective coating membrane ensures the protection of steelwork, pipes, and metal surfaces too. ULTRABOND COAT EX-6000 acts as a damp-proof coating for concrete, a waterproof protective coat for basements, foundations, and retaining walls. It does maintenance coating for roofs and walls over concrete or metal surfaces. It gives bonding and priming coating for a variety of bitumen-based, waterproof systems, and weather coat membranes.

DIRECTION OF MIXING :

Before the application begins, the surface preparation is vital to ensure the bonding strength of the bonding agent to the concrete surface. The surface should be dry, free of any cement laitance, oil, grease, curing compound, or any other contaminants. This intensive cleaning involves light mechanical scrabbling, pressure washing, grinding, or vacuum shot blasting. New concrete surfaces should be 28 days old, with the moisture content much less than 5%. Refurbishment of existing or old floors must be done with a suitable repair mortar, ensuring the bond strength between them. Polypoxy BF (Resin-Based Epoxy Blowhole Filler & Skimming Mortar) and Polycrete ST (Cementitious Repair Mortar) clears the surface irregularities and blowholes. Use a Resin-Based Epoxy Scratch Coat to repair areas larger than 0.5sqm. Priming : New concrete floors do not require priming though for best adhesion; prime the surface with ULTRA BOND EPOXY TOPCOAT EX-140 4-5sq.m/Liter. Coatings can be applied within 24 hours, as the primer gets dried within no time. If the primer surface is left open for more than 24 hours, then a fresh coat of primer is to be re-applied. Mix part A (Resin) and part B (Hardener) separately for 1 minute, using a slow speed drill fitted with a paddle. Then add Part B into Part A and mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes to achieve a uniform consistency. Make sure to apply immediately after the mixing.

COVERAGE:

Use 4m2/L per coat for 250 microns dry film thickness on a smooth surface. Number of coats can be determined according to the required thickness.

INSTALLATION:

Apply ULTRA BOND EPOXY TOPCOAT EX-140 using a brush/roller/airless spray. It can also be poured and spread evenly on the floor with a squeegee. Finish the coating by rolling the surface with a roller. Apply a second coat at the right angles as the first coat achieves an initial cure after 24 hours. After this, roll back the coating to reduce surface irregularities and to improve bonding. Always ensure the achievement of a continuous film on the applied surface. For a non slip finish, broadcast a non slip aggregate No.3, into the primer/first coat of ULTRA BOND EPOXY TOPCOAT EX-140 at 0.3kg/m. Always remove excess materials before the application of the next layer.

After the use, clean all the tools & equipment with a solvent immediately. Remove hardened materials mechanically.

Exposure to high temperature and humidity will reduce its shell life and result in a considerable deterioration of the product.
